Chance of a Lifetime
How was it that you saw me through veil of cyberspace?
And when you sent your picture, how did I know your face?
When you said you’d take the chance to roll the dice for real
I knew for certain you were right to follow what you feel
Was it fate or was it luck that brought us here to meet?
Was it written from the start—as one our hearts would beat?
And if I must repeat myself, I hope you’re not too bored
You can always hush my mouth; just press my lips to yours
Won’t you lie down here beside me, and let what may arise?
Please wrap me in your body, and take me deep inside
Burn me with your fiery eyes; surprise me with your smile
I will do the best I can to make it worth your while
I want to say that I have searched across the universe
For all this lifetime, maybe more, to find in you my course
But I was never ready for what you gave to me
I turned deaf ear unto the song that lets my soul climb free
You are the chance of my lifetime, way past a lucky draw
You raise the eagle in my spirit; I will never ask for more
We have the mystery and the magic; the stars have always seen
That we can visit paradise in more than just our dreams
